Huchuy Qosqo — "Little Cusco" — is an archaeological treasure overlooking the Sacred Valley, reachable only on foot. This two-day trek begins near Tambomachay and crosses highland pastures, mountain passes, and ancient stone paths before descending to the site itself.
Camp beneath the stars, then explore the ruins at sunrise before walking down to the village of Lamay. The route offers intimacy and scenery without the crowds of longer treks.

Day 1
Pick-up in Cusco and drive to Tambomachay trailhead. Hike through Pukamarca community and over mountain passes (max 4,200 m) to Huchuy Qosqo. Guided visit of the site. Dinner and overnight at campsite near the ruins.

Morning exploration of Huchuy Qosqo terraces and structures. Descend through the canyon to Lamay in the Sacred Valley. Lunch, then return transport to Cusco, arriving mid-afternoon.
