Itinerary
CUSCO – SOQMA – RAYAN
- Early pickup from your hotel in Cusco and scenic drive to the community of Soqma, the starting point of the trek.
- Hike to the Perolniyoc waterfall viewpoint and visit the archaeological site nearby before lunch.
- Afternoon ascent to the Rayan campsite with views of the Sacred Valley mountains.
RAYAN – INTI PUNKU – CHOQUETACARPO
- Ascend to the Puccaqasa pass with panoramic views of the Andes.
- Lunch, then continue to Inti Punku (Sun Gate) overlooking Veronica Mountain and the Sacred Valley.
- Camp at Choquetacarpo.
CHOQUETACARPO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES
- Hike to the Cachiqata Inca quarry and learn how stones were prepared for Ollantaytambo.
- Descend to Ollantaytambo for lunch and board the train to Aguas Calientes.
- Overnight in a hotel in Aguas Calientes.
MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
- After breakfast, bus up to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the citadel.
- Free time in Aguas Calientes before the return train to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco.
